In our local markets, this one in Ban Taen which is held only twice a month, you can find products for 5 baht.
5 baht would be 1/6 of 1 US $1 or approx. US $0.16 cents.
These items can be things people need like toothbrushes, hair brushes, combs, pens and other things people may need to use day to day.
Items like this maybe low quality but they can still get the job done.
When a person earns so little, they have to find ways to get the things they need at a price they can afford.
5 baht items are a good way to do that.
