They are all food vendors.
They will spend their entire lives selling their specific food in the various markets.
Their income will be limited to whatever they can sell day to day.
It is a way of life in rural Isaan, where there are NO jobs other than manual farm labor or being a vendor.
There are many days some vendors won’t make a thing, after being in the market working all day.
Yet, they will still show up the next day and try again.
Day after day, year after year.
It is heartbreaking to see this and understand.
