Makro is a large cash-and-carry wholesale supermarket chain in Thailand, similar to a combination of Costco, Sam’s Club, and a restaurant-supply store in the U.S.
Our closest Makro is around 1.5 hours away from where we are in rural Isaan.
I find that Makro prices are as high as anywhere else and for western items that means super high and expensive.
It is a big store with lots of selection, but as mentioned, prices are very high.
Siam Makro operates Makro stores throughout Thailand.

Prices CAN BE attractive when you’re buying larger packages, although Makro isn’t automatically cheaper on every item.
