If you read the cost of living update post, you would have seen that me and my family are living very well for less than US $800 a month.
What is good about living so cheap, is that we can be tourists in ALL the same places you are spending a fortune on airfare to come visit.
We can visit Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket anytime we want.
However, for us, more than a week or 2 is more than enough to get the tourist experience; if we miss it.
Living in rural Isaan gives us enough disposable income to be able to see and do, come and go, anytime we feel like it.
If we were living in a high expense location, we would be stuck there.
Everyone should know, sooner or later, you see it all and do it all.
Then it is absolutely no fun day to day.
We live a normal life, and we can also live a tourist life for a short time.
More than enough for us and the different locations do not get old or stale from being there every single day.
I will admit, the expensive prices are hard to swallow compared to what we pay in rural Isaan.
A large iced coffee is still only 20 thb!
